Lister Radio were once again present at Stevenage Day and the script could
be that of the previous few years as lady luck once again ensured a beautiful sunny day and a fantastic turnout by the good

The tried, tested and much loved formula of "win a bike for £1"
by simply rolling 9 dice, highest score at the end of the day wins, ensured a busy day for the Lister Radio team.
Pictured below is the winner, Debbie, who rolled a top score of 47 out of a
possible 54, receiving her brand new bike from Lister Radio Chairman, Steve
Laurence.

A HOSPITAL radio station will be returning to the airwaves later this month.
Lister Radio will be broadcasting to Stevenage and the surrounding areas on
87.7 FM for one week only from Saturday, November 29 to Friday, December 5 to
celebrate the relaunch of its new studio on the hospital site.
It will be broadcast via a restricted service licence with the help of volunteer
staff who take time off from their day jobs to provide a 24/7 service Steve
Laurence, chairman of Lister Radio, said: "It is immensely worthwhile and goes
a long way to raise our profile within the community, but it doesn't come cheap
so we need the help of local businesses and organisations via sponsorship and
advertising. In return, we can provide loads of on-air plugs and promotion of
companies and products."
If any individuals or companies would like to sponsor one of the station's
programmes or features, email the team via www.listerradio.com When the radio
service receives further funding in the future, it also hopes to refit and upgrade
its second studio. "We are completely voluntary and with the exception of the
provision of premises, have to be completely self-sufficient," Steve said.
The feature can be found online at The
Stevenage Comet
